Confusing Experience
I couldn’t tell if the hotel was run-down or remodling. The place felt a little deserted, but so did the hotel next door which was more expensive. There was almost nobody at the pool area, and no bar or shade. The rooms were clean and big. The hot water was’nt so hot, and the toilet leaked a bit. The a/c made some noise. But on the good side, we got a great rate on expedia and every room has a beaitul view of the ocean. There is also pretty decent snorkeling right in front of the hotel. So if you just want a clean ocean-view room and don’t have much to spend, this could be the place for you.

Greatest small, clean and affordable hotel.
Hotel Fontan is a great hotel. It is small, very clean and all the staff is wonderful. It is about a mile and a half from town. It is a nice walk or a cheap taxis ride to town. All the rooms have an excellant view.

Looking forward to going back
This is our second time staying at Hotel Fontan. Our favorite aspects of the hotel are that each room has an ocean front balcony, air conditioning and the hotel is quiet without the typical pressure of buying food and drink when you’re trying to relax by the ocean or pool. The hotel staff is very friendly and is willing to help with any arrangements for reservations and also can lend you coolers to keep drinks and snacks chilled in your room. It’s not an overly fancy hotel but for the price it is a very good deal. We will definitely be going back!
