Good room for a great price

The room was clean and a great price at the expedia rate. I think they definitely have certain rooms for expedia rates and they are all located on the first floor. Our room faced the street and was noisy, but not too bad. If you are sensitive to noise, I would suggest bringing earplugs. We decided to stay an extra night because the location is convenient for getting around the city by the metro. The rate was higher, but it did include a breakfast buffet which was pretty good. We have had better service in other hotels, but the room was great at the great price offered through expedia.

Great for the price

I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something much worse for the price I payed. The rooms were clean, the service was fantastic, and the restaurant had pretty good food. The best part was the location. There was a metro station right outside the hotel which made it so easy to get around the city. It is also right next to Alameda park and within walking distance of attractions like Palacio de Bellas Artes, Zocalo, and torre Latinoamericana. The hotel also had cable t.v. although it would go out during thunderstorms. It also offered tours to places like the Teotihuacan pyramids for about $35 which is well worth it. This is not a 5 star hotel, but for the price my experience there was fantastic. I will for sure stay here again when I visit Mexico City.

Recomendaciones en el vecindario: I went to Mexico City for fun to explore the city and see the places I've always read about. I was there for a week and everyday was a new adventure. I took the metro everywhere, it is so cheap and so easy to use. It only costs 30 cents. That's right 30 cents!!!! It was very clean, safe, and quick. I was able to visit many places including el Zocalo, Museo de Antropologia, Castillo de Chapultepec, Basilica de Guadalupe, Angel de Independencia, Zona Rosa, Torre Latinoamericana, plaza de tres culturas, xochimilco, estadio azteca, UNAM, chapultepec park, and the pyramids of Teotihuacan. I also saw a performance by ballet folklorico nacional and it was fantastic. I fell in love with Mexico City from the moment I arrived. The food was great. There was this lady that would sell tamales and atole outside the hotel and that was my daily breakfast. I've never had atole in my life and I couldn' t get enough of it. There are also many fantastic restaurants where to eat, but i was more than satisfied with the corner taco stands. There are no better tacos in the world than those from Mexico. Can't wait to go back!!
